    Some CDs have very nice remastering, some use previous (brickwalled) masterings–booklet and packaging great. This covers another transitional period in Bowie’s musical life. Bowie moved away from the Ziggy personnna embracing his “Plastic Soul” phase and, just as quickly, rejecting it and moving into the cool art rock of “Station to Station”. This set isn’t quite as carefully put together IMHO. We get key albums such as “Diamond Dogs”, “Young Americans”, “Station to Station” augmented with two different versions of “David Live”– the original mix and…

    Excellent – a must have! This may be David Bowie’s best three-album run: Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, and Station to Station. YA was never a favorite until I saw the Five Years documentary, and since then, it’s in constant rotation. Diamond Dogs is an absolute masterpiece, as is Station to Station. The packaging is excellent, and the sound incredible. David Live takes some getting used to if you are primarily a Ziggy-era fan, but once you get it, it’s a work of genius with an incredible band.
